The Castel Code App collects personal and non-personal information across two main areas: service hiring and tutorial access. We collect only what is necessary to deliver these services effectively.

🔒 We do NOT collect: your contacts list, call logs, SMS messages, photos outside of project uploads you choose to share, microphone or camera data, precise GPS location, banking credentials, or any data from other apps on your device.

Account Registration
To hire our services or track tutorial progress, you need to create a Castel Code App account. We support the following registration methods:
Registration Options
- Email & Password: Full name, email address, and a secure password you create
- Google Sign-In: Your Google account name and email address (no password stored by us)
- Guest / Browse Mode: You can browse available services and tutorial previews without an account — account required only to hire or access full tutorial content
Account Data We Store
- Display name and email address
- Profile photo if you choose to upload one
- Phone number if you provide it for project contact purposes
- Account creation date and last login timestamp
- Your project history and tutorial progress linked to your account
Password Security: If you register with email and password, your password is never stored in plain text. It is handled through Firebase Authentication using industry-standard encryption. Castel Code staff cannot see or recover your password.

Data Collected in Your Service Request

How We Handle Service Request Data
- Your project brief is only accessible to Castel Code team members assigned to your project
- Reference files and attachments are stored securely on our cloud infrastructure
- Project data is retained for the duration of your project plus 12 months for support purposes
- You can request deletion of your project data at any time after delivery
All service tiers are subject to this same Privacy Policy. Enterprise clients may request a separate Data Processing Agreement — contact us at castelcode.tech@gmail.com.
Project & Communication Data
Once a project is accepted, the Castel Code App provides an in-app communication channel between you and your assigned Castel Code developer or project manager.
In-App Messages
- Text messages sent between you and Castel Code team members regarding your project
- File and image attachments shared for project feedback, designs or deliverables
- Project status updates, milestone notifications and delivery confirmations
- All messages are stored in our secure cloud database and retained for the duration of the project plus 12 months
Project Milestone Data
- Project stage tracking (submitted → in review → in development → testing → delivered)
- Milestone completion timestamps
- Deliverable files uploaded by our team (APK files, source code packages, design files, reports)
- Your feedback and approval confirmations at each stage
⚠️ Confidentiality Notice: All project communications and deliverables shared through the Castel Code App are treated as confidential by Castel Code Ltd. We do not share your project details, source code, designs, or business ideas with any external parties. Client confidentiality is a core commitment of Castel Code Ltd.
Payments & Billing
Payment for Castel Code services booked through the app is processed through secure third-party payment gateways. Castel Code Ltd does not store your payment card numbers, bank account details, or CVV/CVC codes.

Tutorial & Learning Content
The Castel Code App provides a library of technology tutorials, guides and educational content covering mobile development, AI, web technologies, robotics and more. Here is how your learning activity data is handled:
Tutorial Progress Data We Track
- Watch progress: Which videos you have started, completed, or paused and at what timestamp
- Module completion: Which tutorial modules and courses you have finished
- Quiz results: Your scores on knowledge check quizzes (stored to show your progress history)
- Bookmarks: Tutorials or specific timestamps you have saved for later
- Notes: Any personal notes you attach to tutorial content within the app
How Tutorial Data Is Used
- Resume playback exactly where you left off across devices
- Show your completion percentage for each course on your dashboard
- Generate course completion certificates with your name
- Recommend relevant next tutorials based on what you have completed
- Show aggregate (non-personal) content popularity to improve our tutorial library
Tutorial Content Ownership
- All tutorial videos, written guides, code samples and course materials are owned by Castel Code Ltd
- Tutorials are licensed to you for personal educational use only
- Downloading, redistributing, or republishing tutorial content is prohibited without written permission from Castel Code Ltd
- Your personal notes and bookmarks belong to you and can be exported or deleted at any time
📜 Certificates: Completion certificates issued by the Castel Code App include your name (as entered in your account), course title, completion date, and a Castel Code Ltd verification seal. These certificates are for educational recognition and do not constitute formal academic qualifications.

Your control: Promotional notifications are opt-in only. You can enable or disable them at any time in App Settings → Notifications. Transactional notifications about your active projects cannot be disabled while a project is in progress, as they are essential to service delivery.
We do not send marketing emails or SMS without your explicit consent. We do not share your contact details with third-party marketing companies.

Data Sharing Policy
Castel Code Ltd takes data sharing seriously. Here is our clear policy on when and with whom data may be shared:

- Payment processors: Transaction data shared with Flutterwave or other payment providers solely to process your payment
- Firebase / Google: App data stored on Firebase infrastructure as described in Section 10

- Your personal details with any third-party marketing or advertising companies
- Your project ideas, source code, business concepts, or deliverables with any external party
- Your email address or phone number with other users of the app
- Any of your data to government authorities unless legally compelled by valid Zambian court order
- Data with any data brokers, analytics resellers, or surveillance companies
⚠️ Legal Disclosure: In the unlikely event that Castel Code Ltd is legally required to disclose your data by a Zambian court order, law enforcement authority, or applicable legal process, we will notify you as permitted by law before disclosing, unless prohibited from doing so.

How to Delete Your Account & Data
You can request full account deletion by:
- Going to App Settings → Account → Delete Account inside the app
- Or emailing castelcode.tech@gmail.com with subject line "Castel Code App Account Deletion Request"
Upon deletion we will remove your account, profile data, tutorial progress, and project communications within 30 days. Payment invoice records are retained for 7 years as required by financial regulations even after account deletion.
Data Security
Castel Code implements rigorous technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal data and project information:
Technical Security Measures
- Encrypted Data Transit: All data transmitted between the app and our servers uses TLS/HTTPS encryption — data cannot be intercepted in transit
- Firebase Security Rules: Firestore and Storage access rules ensure users can only read and write their own data — no user can access another user's account or project data
- Password Encryption: Passwords are handled through Firebase Authentication — never stored in plain text
- R8 Obfuscation: Release builds are obfuscated with R8 to protect our app code from reverse engineering
- File Access Controls: Uploaded project files and deliverables are stored with access controls — only you and assigned Castel Code team members can access them
- Anonymous Analytics: Usage analytics are collected in aggregate and anonymised form — individual user behaviour is not tracked for analytics purposes
Organisational Security Measures
- Project data access is restricted to team members actively assigned to your project
- Castel Code staff are bound by confidentiality obligations regarding all client data
- We conduct regular reviews of our data handling practices and security configurations
While we implement strong security measures, no system is 100% immune to risk. We recommend using a strong unique password, keeping your app updated, and logging out of shared devices after use.
Children's Privacy
The Castel Code App is intended for users aged 16 years and above for service hiring features, and 13 years and above for tutorial access. The app is rated for general audiences on Google Play.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Users aged 13–15 may access tutorial content with parental consent. Service hiring, payments, and project contracts require users to be at least 16 years of age.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has created an account or provided personal information, please contact us at castelcode.tech@gmail.com and we will delete the account and associated data within 30 days.
Your Rights
As a Castel Code App user you have the following data rights:
Your Full Data Rights
- Right to Access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you — we will provide it within 30 days
- Right to Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data in your account via App Settings or by contacting us
- Right to Deletion: Request deletion of your account and data — see Section 12 for the full process
- Right to Data Portability: Request your tutorial progress, project history and account data in a portable format (JSON/CSV)
- Right to Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent for optional data processing (promotional notifications, analytics) at any time via App Settings
- Right to Object: Object to specific data processing activities by contacting us at the email below
- Right to Restrict Processing: Request that we limit processing of your data while a dispute or correction request is pending

Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Castel Code App gains new features, as our services evolve, or as legal requirements change. Here is how we will notify you:
Notification of Changes
- The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be updated
- An in-app notification will appear on your next login after a significant policy change
- For changes that materially affect your rights or how we use your data, we will provide at least 14 days advance notice before the change takes effect
- The updated policy will be posted on the Google Play Store listing
- Previous versions of this policy are available on request via email
Continued use of the Castel Code App after a policy update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. If you do not agree with a material change, you may request account deletion before the change takes effect.
